Ultrasound

Diagnostic ultrasound, also known as sonography or medical sonography, is an imaging method that uses high-frequency sound waves to produce images of structures within your body. In the case of pregnant mothers and fetuses, this is the safest and most versatile modality of choice for diagnosis. At Freya, we have state of the art ultrasound systems with doppler facilities to diagnose maternal and fetal abnormalities and in some cases perform intrauterine interventions to solve fetal medical abnormalities. Most ultrasound examinations are done using an ultrasound device outside your body, though some involve placing a device inside the body.

RADIOLOGY

The radiology services at Freya are working all the time to ensure high quality digital, portable radiography to patients of all age groups including the newborns, elderly patients along with ambulatory patients and inpatients. There is facility for reference for higher investigations, including CT, MRI and Mammography. It works closely with the other specialties to ensure patients get the best treatment based on the investigations made.
