Pre and Postnatal Physiotherapy

Our pre and postnatal physiotherapy instructors help women manage these changes. They teach skills and techniques such as positioning, rhythmic movement, massage, relaxation, and breathing exercises to reduce or prevent pregnancy-related problems. Our therapists are specially certified in managing pregnant women through yoga.

Prenatal Yoga

Prenatal yoga offers safe ways to relax and stay fit during pregnancy. It helps you stay active and prepares your body for childbirth. This form of exercise encourages stretching and focused breathing. Research suggests that prenatal yoga is safe and provides multiple benefits for pregnant women and their babies, including:

Postnatal Yoga

After childbirth, it’s important to follow a series of exercises to strengthen muscles stretched by pregnancy and birth. This helps prevent backache, promotes correct posture, and helps you regain your figure more quickly. It also benefits your circulation and breathing. Our physiotherapists demonstrate these exercises, including pelvic floor and gentle deep tummy muscle exercises. Doing these exercises daily helps the muscle fibers return to normal function, which can take several months after childbirth.
