Hands on Workshop on Gynecological Ultrasound

Freya Hospital, Ranchi, Jharkhand, India conducted a “Hands on Workshop on Gynecological Ultrasound” this weekend. This workshop was organized to hone the ultrasound skills of the doctors and to make them aware of the latest in this field. More than 50 participants got an opportunity to do hands-on training on the patients tooalong with certification. 

The Clinical Director of Freya Hospital, Dr Nidhi Nikunj, took a session on the topic – PCO: A Diagnostic Dilemma and guided various doctors for hands -on practice sessions. 

Dr Girish Patel, Senior Consultant Obstetrician & Gynecologist, Wings Hospital, Ahmedabad was also one on the trainers. He took sessions on “Demystifying Dopplers in Obstetrics” & “Role of Doppler in Ist&IInd Trimester Obs” along with guiding the participants with the hands on training. 

Dr Tulika Joshi, Consultant, Fetal Medicine Unit, Freya Hospital took a live session on “TVS for Normal Anatomy of Pelvis and Fibroids” which was the first of its kind in Jharkhand. It is worth noting that approximately 48 patients’ ultrasounds wereals done absolutely free of cost. 

Dr Nidhi Nikunj, Dr Shweta Narayan, Dr Vineeta Kumari and Dr Tulika Joshi’s contribution was noteworthy on the day.
