Lamaze Classes

Freya Hospital conducts Lamaze classes for all its patients. The goal of these classes is to make the would- be mothers ready for labor and to replace any negative preconceptions about pregnancy and the birth process that they have in their minds, with positive feelings.

Along with an overview of the anatomical, physiological, and emotional changes that are part of pregnancy, the participants and their Lamaze partners are taught relaxation techniques and breathing patterns. These techniques when practiced help ease the discomfort of labor and birth. Lamaze breastfeeding classes clears the common misconceptions surrounding breastfeeding too. The classes also give insights into the process of fetal growth and its final transition into a fully mature baby.

Home Blood Collection

The idea of spending long hours in a lab or hospital sounds boring. During the on going pandemic people avoid going for preventive screenings and lab tests. At Freya Care, we do not want people to compromise on health and so we have extended our services to Home Sample Collection. 24*7 Emergency Services For Women And Children

At Freya, we provide specialized care and unique range of services for women and children. 24×7 emergency care is available. Along with 24×7 availability of pediatricians, gynecologists and neonatologists; physicians, specialists including cardiologists and surgeons available on call at the hospital make it a reliable choice to handle all kinds of medical emergencies related to the mother or child.   

Neonatal Ambulance

Many centres where babies are born cannot take care of some of their pregnant patients because they do not have infrastructure to take care of newborns with problems. Neo Natal Ambulance from Freya ensures emergency transfers under care of experts for neonates who need more specialised treatment and for elective or ‘back’ transfers to transport recuperating babies back to the hospital closest to their homes. Neonatal And Pediatric Surgeries

Level 3 NICU

A level 3 NICU provides intensive care for babies born very premature babies born at 27 to 30 weeks and above. According to the classification system for NICU’s, a level 3 NICU is the highest level of neonatal care. The exact definition of a level 3 NICU may vary in different hospitals, but all level 3 NICUs can provide care for babies born at more than 28 weeks. They are able to provide respiratory support for babies who are having trouble breathing and can deliver intravenous nutrition to babies who cannot take milk feedings.

We have state of the art birthing pool rooms. These serene rooms enable mothers to be and their partner the opportunity to have a stress-free birth experience. These stylish and calming rooms include mood lighting and music to de-stress the new mum and her family. Mood lighting changes colour and intensity to relax and calm the mothers and fathers. The beautiful lighting and huge bath provide amazing benefits in terms of a new experience apart from making the couple feel privileged. Water encourages the woman to relax, to make contractions seem less painful by reducing pressure on the abdominal muscles. Besides, it provides a gravity-free environment and lowers blood pressure.

Sensory Labor Room

Sensory labour rooms are Freya’s unique initiative in bringing international birthing experience to this part of the world. The main ideas incorporated in the sensory labour rooms are:

• Visual projections on an extra-large screen bringing the wonder of nature into the room. This has been scientifically proven to provide a feeling of security, decrease stress and pain during delivery.
• Different visual elements in different stages of labor have been shown to aid in the different processes a lady passes through during childbirth.
• Audio inputs through a surround sound system which are aligned with the visuals to provide comfort and support.
• These elements are complimented by all the advanced birthing support systems including specially designed birthing pool, birthing rope and birthing ball etc.
